Art Walk will continue celebrating Art and Beauty, tonight, May 3, on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Throughout the evening, Zach “ZR” Hill, a curator and art writer for Proxart and Madeline Zima, artist and actor, will create a collaborative art piece at Pulchella Winery.  Catch the live pin-up shoot with beautiful women in vintage bathing suits, and the beachwear fashion show presented by Fresh.  Stay for the live acoustic sets by The Alternative Side and DJ Justin Cornwell. 

Follow the arrows —-> as they take you from live art demonstrations, to photo shoots, to gourmet food trucks the entire evening.

The Art Walk, on Thursday, May 3, will present, The Alternate Side Band, a Los Angeles based group, playing Jazz harmonies, Funk and R&B grooves.  Come down to Main Street, from 4pm to 8pm, to listen to a preview before their first album is release in June 2012.  Also, check out DJ Justin Cornwall, a 21 year-old music entrepreneur, who has been persevering in the extremely competitive DJ scene, and has been balancing on top of the indie-dance market.

Fashion and Art Strolling Down Main Street

Come down to Old Town Newhall, Thursday, May 3, from 4pm to 8pm, to watch a beachwear fashion show, presented by FRESH.  The girls of FRESH will strut the latest summer swimsuit fashion trends down Main Street.  Stroll the local businesses, to catch the art exhibits in Canyon Theatre Guild, Repertory East Playhouse, Newhall Bicycle, and Eggplantation.  Across from the Art Walk hub, OutWest will be hosting an art reception featuring Bob Hernandez.

Come to Art Walk Next Week

On Thursday, May 3, Art Walk will continue to celebrate Art and Beauty in Old Town Newhall, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Main Street, with free art demonstrations, a fashion show, photo-shoots, gourmet food trucks, and live acoustic music.

Catch a live pin-up photo shoot with beautiful women in vintage bathing suits posing with beach props.  Watch as local artists create stunning painting of a live model.  Throughout the evening, two artists will work together to create an original piece of artwork at Pulchella Winery.  In addition, stay for the entertainment of live acoustic music and the gourmet food truck you will not want to miss.

While eating at Baby’s Badass Burgers food truck tonight, catch the live painting demonstration on Main Street by Pablo Cevallos.  Follow the arrows along Main Street in Old Town Newhall to watch as local pin-up models pose with vintage motorcycles, catch the art receptions at OutWest and the REP, and the mini-fashion show from FRESH.

Gina Roode at Art Walk

Gina Roode was raised in a quiet small town in California.  At the age of 12, Gina picked up her first guitar and began to compose.  Since then the music has continued to flow through her, with the sounds of folk, jazz, modern, rock, Irish, and Spanish. Gina Roode, can be heard on Youtube, Myspace, Facebook, Itunes, Rhapsody, and on various music websites.  She is also playing at coffee houses around the Inland Empire, so stay tuned; there will more of this up and coming composer to see.

Live Demonstrations at Art Walk

On Thursday, April 5, come down to Old Town Newhall to check out the Car Part art exhibit at The Hub, on Main Street, which will display a sawed-in-half 1960′s VW Bug.  The VW Bug was cut in half and painted by local artist, Steve Jasik, at last month’s Art Walk.  Hang out at The Hub, to listen to the live DJ and catch a truly unique photo opportunity, at 7:00 p.m., of all the pin-up models stuffed into the chopped VW Bug.

Come down to Old Town Newhall to catch a mini-fashion show, presented by FRESH.  The girls of FRESH will be strutting the latest fashion trends down Main Street for your view pleasure.  Pop on over to the Repertory East Playhouse for refreshments and local artist, Jane Mick, create a painting of a stunning woman before your eyes.  Across from The Hub, OutWest will be hosting an art reception featuring Native American and Southwest Art by Donna Weil.
